Dresses!!!!

We had a heck of a time picking our accent colors. At the beginning of the process, Jason wanted canary yellow and I wanted baby blue. Keep in mind, we aren't throwing a baby shower here. We went back and forth--for a time I even considered his yellow idea, royal blue(for my Kentucky Wildcats!), plum and navy. In the end, I saw a picture of a summer wedding that I loved--and I had to use the colors. We have finally decided to go with teal and fuschia. I am not an extroverted person by nature, so I really wanted to color in the wedding to speak for me--the loud person inside of me that rarely comes out. Man, will this combo ever do it.

Bridesmaids

This is Stefanie, our youngest bridesmaid and Jason's youngest neice. She is modeling the Monique Lhuillier teal strapless bridesmaids dress. I found this on a whim on the Nordstrom special occasion dress page. The price was in line with what I was seeing at Davids Bridal, but this had more 'wear again' potential than those did. Her actual dress was the last size 4 in the U.S.!! Thank goodness we ordered it when we did. I love them! So silky and smoooooth! :)

Bridey!

Jason, please step AWAY from the computer! :)

Sigh. I love this dress! The bodice has intricate beading and lace, and has wonderful lace around the hem and train of the dress. The cap sleeves are removable, and I haven't decided whether I will wear the dress with or without them. I can't get over how gorgeous this dress is, and I cannot wait for it to come in! I got this from David's Bridal in Frisco in a petite size so that Becky Fowler (aka ANGEL!) won't have to alter the hem at ALL. As of now, I'm not sure if I will wear a veil or not.

The Shoes!

I'm really not too keen on bows. So when I saw these Martinez Valero shoes on the DSW site on clearance, I was surprised by how much I loved them. They have a bit of bling around the edge of the bow, and they wrap around the bottom of the ankle very delicately. They do not have a large heel, I think maybe only 2 inches. Jason and I are really short (I am 5'1 and he is 5'2) so I didn't want to end up being taller than my groom! I always joke that he will have to get some lifts for his shoes like Tom Cruise did when he and Nicole Kidman were together. He doesn't like that joke too much anymore.
